Hi, I'm Fabiola.
When I was younger, I didn't understand the value of trust.
I once called my papa and lied that I needed money for textbooks. He sent it without hesitation. I spent it on snacks and little things I didn't need.
Years later, I finally understood what he had really given me wasn't just money. It was trust.
Then I watched something much bigger.
My uncle, living in Texas, dreamed of building on his own land in Banso. After receiving a $40,000 foundation quote, the dream stopped.
It wasn't only the cost. It was the uncertainty. It was wondering whether money sent across continents would truly reach its purpose.
The land is still empty.
Those experiences taught me something.
These are not character issues. They are infrastructure issues.
Families shouldn't have to rely on hope when sending school fees. Businesses shouldn't lose customers because payments can't be trusted. Communities deserve better tools than phone calls, screenshots, and crossed fingers.
That's why I'm building Ékié.
Not just another payment app. Trust infrastructure for African families — wherever they live, whatever they need.
